I think instead of "These are dark days on many American pig farms" being the takewaway from one of the worst things you've ever read, which you just plopped there without even a real comment, a better takeaway would be to fucking go vegan already. This pandemic, and every one before it, was caused by our domestication and farming of animals. I know that may be tough to acknowledge and understand given our culture, but good god man wake the fuck up. You're not part of an indigenous tribe who survives off of fishing or hunting or some shit. You're not too poor to afford beans and rice or too dumb or strapped for time to cook them. Its more affordable, better for you, and even easier to find right now because of the meat shortages! Stop being so selfish and lazy and vain motherfucker. Face your addiction and do the right thing. Also remember to soak your beans and grains overnight before you cook them.
