I had always been enthralled with New Orleans as I am a Pacific Northwesterner who didn’t leave my coast until I was 19. I finally went (just before COVID started wreaking havoc) for mine and my wife’s elopment in city park and it only exacerbated my obsession with the city. It’s fun to imagine it as some “no-parents-no-rules” theme park, but it’s still a city where people live and work and it continues to be a magical place only because of service industry and public service workers who put up with A LOT of A1 fuckery. Thanks for sharing the gfm and shop so I can spread it around with my circle.
