You're the first other person I've ever heard say that they have no sense of patriotism. I feel exactly the same, yet when/if I ever say it, I get a lot of odd looks. I used to be patriotic, up until I was about 23, then it all left me and hasn't returned in over 25 years. I've no particular idea why it changed so radically, but I no longer saw anything to be especially proud of by dint of being born in England.

It's just a matter of chance that I was born where I was and my country isn't intrinsically better than any other just because I happen to have been born here as opposed to anywhere else.

"Not only would it literally cost less than what we pay now but “ensuring health-care access for all Americans would save more than 68,000 lives and 1.73 million life-years every year compared with the status quo.”"

1.73 MILLION LIFE YEARS each year and people are like TOO HARD or BUT THE COST. go fuck yourselves you weirdos! if you don't want to do it then get the fuck out of the way! i've lost so much (apparently misplaced) faith in humanity this year.
